Happy Halloween!
I feel like I blinked and it was the end of October – I’m not sure where it went! I have a very busy first week of November for my bakery; I’m excited about new sweets to share soon. But in the meantime, I wanted to share these scary cute cookies I made.
It’s almost Halloween! I have never understood the appeal of scary movies or being scared in general. But I have grown to enjoy the whimsy and fun side of it, especially now as a mom. I love watching them get so excited about trick-or-treating and picking out costumes. This year my boys are being Spider-Man and an inflatable character from Fall Guys.
Lately, when I’ve had a cookie order, I’ve made a few extra to have on hand and experiment with or practice new techniques. That’s what I did with these cute ghosts. I did a simple royal icing layer. Once it dried, I drew on their adorable faces. I wanted one of my sweet little ghosts to have an adorable pumpkin and another to have a pumpkin spice latte. I drew those on with edible markers and then piped on the little ghost arms. I love how sweet they turned out!
